Skin Solutions
My name is Johanne Sutton, I have worked in the beauty industry for over 30 years. Having been a Senior Lecturer in Beauty Therapy at Derby College for over 13 years, I decided to leave this environment and concentrate my expertise, skills and knowledge into running my own business.
During my clinics at L BEAUTY on the second Wednesday of each month, I offer small cosmetic procedures including the removal of moles, skin tags, Red Blood Spot, Seborrheic Keratosis, Warts, Verruca's and much more.
Client satisfaction is of the utmost importance to me. I strive to provide my clients with confidence in my work by offering thorough consultations in order that the required and realistic outcome can be achieved.
I provide a professional, relaxed and calm approach, ensuring client comfort, privacy and strict confidentiality, at all times.
As a therapist I find my work both satisfying and rewarding. I find the work I do increases my client's confidence in the way they look and feel about themselves.
Skin Tags
Skin tags can be found anywhere on the face and body. They are more common on the face, neck, underarm and around the bra line, Depending on the amount of skin tags to be removed, sometimes it is necessary to have more than one treatment. During the removal the treatments cauterises the skin so there is no blood loss and does not leave scaring.
Campbell De Morgan Spots
(Red Blood Spots)
Campbell De Morgan Spots can be found all over the body and can affect people of any age. They are all different sizes and can be raised or flat.
Seborrheic Keratosis
Also known as Seborrheic Warts, these can occur anywhere on the face and body. they are best removed in their infancy as they continue to grow if left untreated. They vary in size and colour.
Moles
Moles can be found all over the body. They can become a nuisance if they catch on your clothing, you cut them whilst shaving or are just unsightly.
Some people find moles affect their self-confidence. Most moles are completely harmless and can be flattened to skin level very easily and with little discomfort. Moles do not grow back after treatment. All moles should be checked by a GP before treatment to ensure medical intervention is not necessary.
Dermatosis Papulosa Nigra
These are often, but not always, found on darker skins. They usually appear during adolescence. Incidence, number and size of the lesions increase with age.
Milia
Milia are small, white, hard keratin-filled cysts which lie superficially under the surface of the skin, commonly around the eye area.
Xanthelasma/Xanthoma
These are yellowish- white pads usually found around and under the eyes. They are made of cholesterol rich material. While they are harmless and not painful they are disfiguring.
Warts
Warts are typically small, rough, hard growths. They are contagious and if treated early they don't return. If they are not treated early more than one treatment may be necessary.
Thread Veins
Small red thread veins can be easily treated with shortwave diathermy. If the vein appears purple in colour, then alternative treatment would be necessary.
My clinics run on the 2nd Wednesday of each month, please contact L BEAUTY for availability and pricing.
